Saturday night Ben and I hosted a Christmas party for our Sunday school class, Catalyst. While I was hoping Brynlee would sleep through most of the commotion I had no idea what the heck to do with Benjamin, there is no way that kid would stay in bed with 30+ adults roaming the house. I hated to do it but I contacted one of Benjamin's best friends mom to see if it would be okay if he could spend the night at their house. It would help me tremendously to have Jamin out of the way and I knew he would love the extra time with Hudson. Lucky for me Jen and Jay said yes so off he went on his first friend sleepover. Benjamin has slept at his cousin Seth's house before or grandparents without us around but this would be the first time to do it locally and without a family member. I was a tad nervous about how he would do but having a large gathering at my house with plenty of distraction for me.
Hudson's mom was nice enough to send me these pictures that she took of the boys together, I was so thankful that she thought to do so. I can tell that Benjamin is having a ball and probably didn't think twice about old mom and dad at home.
Notice that Benjamin is wearing a Halloween shirt while Hudson is appropriately wearing a Christmas shirt...letting Benjamin dress himself is just one battle I choose not to take on.

Jen did tell me that the boys finally fell asleep about 10 and were up at 6 the next day, wow that is early! Benjamin had such a good time and keeps telling me, next time I spend the night at Hudson's or when is Hudson going to come spend the night here? So sweet to have a good friend who I know he loves and I feel totally comfortable with him being around. I hope we can return the favor soon and allow Hudson into our home for a fun and rowdy boys night.
