Taken at 30 weeks
Today I am 31 weeks pregnant and I am feeling every one of those weeks! I had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything is going great with me and baby. The heartbeat was 169 which was high compared to the last one of 140, I have gained 18 pounds so far, my cervix is soft but I have not dialted yet, and the baby is measuring at about 32 weeks in size. I have been having some contractions this past week but my doctor wasn't concerned and just reminded me to be drinking plenty of water which I have not been doing enough of. Ben and the kids went to the appointment with me and while it was great to include them the room was rather cramped and I think Deem might have been a little overwhelmed when she walked in and saw all 4 of us there. I now have appointments every two weeks, and then every week for the last month. I also got to set up an ultrasound for January 12th to check the size of the baby and to make sure he/she is not breech.
Sleep has become a challenge the last week for me, I am at the stage where I just can't get comfortable and I wake up every time I need to roll over. I realize that God is getting me ready for the night time feedings but I am not quite ready to be sleep deprived. I feel that I have also entered the waddling stage, the floor is getting further and further away, and I am confident my feet are still under me but I couldn't swear to it as I can no longer see them. Oh well, this is the home stretch(or belly stretch) and I am hoping and praying these next two months fly by quickly for me and baby.
PS: I am still convinced it is a girl but everyone I talk to comments about how low the baby is sitting or how small I am so therefore it must be a boy. I mean strangers are giving me their vote, people at Chick Fil A, Michaels, the mall.....it is odd that every where you go someone has an opinion for you.
